Care Guide

Wood is a living material — it moves, breathes, and ages with you. With just a little care, your piece will stay beautiful for years and only grow more character over time. Here's how to keep it at its best.

Daily Use

  • Hand wash with warm water and mild soap
  • Dry immediately with a towel — never let wood soak or air-dry sitting in water
  • Avoid the dishwasher, which can crack, warp, or dull the finish
  • Avoid direct heat sources (stovetops, ovens, direct sunlight for extended periods)

Keeping the Finish Fresh

  • Re-oil every 1–2 months with food-safe mineral oil or a wood butter/wax blend
  • Apply a thin coat, let it sit 10–15 minutes, then wipe off any excess
  • More frequent oiling is fine — the wood will simply stop absorbing once it's had enough

About Natural Variation

Because each piece is cut from solid wood, slight variations in grain, color, and knots are normal and expected — they're part of what makes your piece one of a kind rather than mass-produced.

If It Cracks or Warps

Minor surface checking (small cracks) can happen with humidity changes and is common in solid wood. Keeping up with regular oiling is the best prevention. If you have concerns about a specific piece, reach out — we're happy to help.

Treat it well, and it's built to be part of your gatherings for a lifetime — maybe even passed down to the next one.
